The soft ear pads and padded headband give a secure fit, and the seal does a good job of cutting outside noise
The Beats produce a generous amount of bass weight. http://www.buymonsterstudio.com/ Bass-light tracks let you hear the Beats'reasonably detailed and smooth midrange and treble.

I had a pair of sr125 a few years ago. They need to stop the left and right "ear speakers" from being able to turn infinitely because after awhile the connections get worn to breaking point, and at that point... it usually breaks. They did sound very good playing jazz and classical though.

I've switched over to a set of AKG240 for everyday use (701 on special occasions) and those look the same as when it came out of the box seven years ago. Studios use those for 30+ years without problems, they just sound better with age.

The glossy headband and shiny Beats logo are a stylish proposition, while comfort is high on the agenda too.

i recommend you try the landyzone, there a really helpful bunch of guys who are always interested in any new or top quality products that come onto the market. you could probably get a load of sales there.

(if anyones ever seen the banter on the landyzone you will understand)
