Hif44 Or Twin Hs4's For My 1293

Hiya there im just wondering what you reckon would be better for my 1293 engine for my estate I've already got a hif44 and have been offered a set of twin hs4's new manifold jets and air filters for 90 and have always like the idea of twins on my estate would it be worth fitting this twins over the hif44

I would go HIF 44.
Reliable, easy to set up, more than enough for a 1293

I would go HIF 44.

Maybe a touch at the top end but you would lose a touch of mid botom end torque.

The twin hs4's would give you more top end power, but its at the cost of low & mid range torque. It's all to do with air speed and volume.

I'd stick with the hif44, as the twins will be a pig to set up, it can only be done properly on a rolling road. Also twins are prone to going out of balance with will result in another trip to the rolling road

stick to the HIF44, the twins look good but the HIF44 is a really good carb.

Agreed, stick an Med Itg filter on it, and it'll be awesome, I noticed the difference with it over my old K&N :thumbsup:
