New gearbox going in on Saturday.... About time I think!! It's been crunching between 1-2 3-2 2-1 and 3-4 for a while now I can't even engage 1st at all. 2nd grinds all the time even when in gear, reverse is so so odd, goes in ok but jumps out, grinds and is generally horrible! Today it started doing this!

Oh god!! I guess it's time to stop driving it before it breaks and I damage my engine!!

that sounds like something is catching the input shaft as no gears are actually engaged while the car is in neutral.....very odd
