ive never used this before but just looking at it today deciding whether to stick it back in the boot or chuck it & get a better one for when its on the road.

just wondering where do these jack up on ?

meant to be the "jacking points" on the sills unless im wrong never used mine only a proper trolley jack.

i dont carry a jack in the car.

you insert the moving bit inside the jacking point (the hole) on the sill,

but dont actually do that, thats just what your "meant" to do.

your best bet is getting a cheap scissor jack and keep it in the boot, jack it up on the subframes... that is for driving around! always useful to have a trolley jack in the garage.

maggies, what if you have a have a puncture? AA?

My mazda 6 has no spare wheel, only a can of tyre weld and a compressor!

Very common in modern cars!

If you're going to use a standard jack, make sure the sills are in good condition

ill be keeping a scissor jack in myn,

too much weight, need all the power i can get.

thats why i dont give lifts.

I've got a nice low trolley jack in the workshop & a tiny bottle jack I keep at home but just wanted something light to keep under the spare wheel. I've just not used this standard one before didn't think it looked very stable lol
