hi, ive recently bought a mini from here 1988 mayfair in metalic blue, yesterday i had to perform a emergency stop at a t junction and since then when i put my foot down on the brake pedal as far as it will go the brakes kick in but the car keeps rolling. ive had a good look underneath at the brake lines and all four corners and i cant see any fluid, and ive checked the brake fluid level, and thats ok. im guessing that i have broken the seals in the master cylinder or slave cylinder? and its letting fluid pass therefore making the brakes come on but not enough pressure to put the brakes on fully?? any help on this would be great as im just guessing that this is the case. cheers adam

You need to take all the wheels off and inspect everything carefully. Take the drums off and look for leaking cylinders. But also - get someone to stand on the pedal while you inspect the flexi pipes - one may be swelling up like a balloon......
