Got a 998 auto in the car and a 1275 manual in the garage, but not much mechanical knowledge! Would like to do the swap myself but still think I'd be in over my head.
Are you using the current subframe or swapping for a new one? You can buy spacer plates for auto subframes but seems a bodge to me so I'm getting a manual subby.

Demonix.....the 3/8" spacer each side isn't a bodge....It's a lot less work than replacing the subframe that's for sure. Plus, it'll give you that little bit more room on either side....like getting at the clutch cover bolts etc.
One hole does need to be drilled on the left side of subframe ....rear engine mount hole ( edit...might be the front hole, can't remember )

Standard bore for the 1275 is 2.78" ( 70.61mm )
