Hey guys,

I fitted my arches and wheels yesterday. Checked and measured hundreds of times, and it seems the wheels are sitting too far forward!

Iv checked the arches, and im pretty sure they are in the right place. There no way they could be moved forward at al without moving them right up on the wing and in front of the bumper.

Iv checked the tie bars, and they are straight (by eye)

Is there any way of moving them back slightly, probably talking 20mm max...?

Cheers

No. Adjusting them backwards would completely ruin the suspension geometry, in particular the castor angle would be so far off as to be dangerous.

Do not try to fix a bodywork problem by adjusting suspension. Your arches are in the wrong place, or your front end has been rebuilt at some time with badly shaped panels.

tie bars are used to correct caster angles not to move the wheel

You say new arches and wheels, what size wheels? have you changed from 10's to 12's? or 12x4.5 to 12x6 etc, some wheels require modifications to the front lip of the arch
