I am about to start sourcing a rear subframe for my 68 MK2 with hydro susoension. When I change Ill be converting to dry cones.
I was wondered what the main differances are with the rear frames over the years and what I will be best getting for the conversion.
Many thanks

Any fear sub-frame will be fine. With the later frames there are some exhaust hangers, but you just cut them off to rtevert to earlier configuration for ex. mountings.

Your car will be more valuable if you retain the hydro.....

so keep the bits in a box - no disrespect to bmcecosse - he is right ...
... but ... you bought it - you live with it - do what you want to do
too many people are worried what others think
(but keep the bits in a box)
nothing looks sadder than a lop sided BMC/Leyland - IMHO

That was not the question, but thanks anyway. Value does not matter as the mini is not for sale.

Dry are nicer to drive than hydro, which in my opinion makes it worthwhile. As you say, if you are not selling, who cares about the value? It is worth to you what it is, as a car. People here spend more on restoration than the car will be worth, because they want it as a good looking, safe, working car, not a thing of commercial value.
