Benny is a 1985 Mini City E, 998cc engine.
Over the last couple of days, (now that it's stopped raining!) i've noticed a water leak from underneath the front of the car, passenger side.
It is intermittent, & only seems to happen when i've stopped & turned engine off.
Initially, i only noticed the wet patch on the road... Today, i actually watched the water run out from underneath the front of the car. It runs for a wee while & then stops.
I looked underneath the car as it was happening, but couldn't make out where it was coming from.
I had checked radiator fill level this morning & no topping up was necessary.
I also checked radiator immediately after the leak, there was no obvious difference in fluid level.
However, i did notice that, even though the engine had just been running, & we'd been driving for 20 minuutes minimum, that there was no hiss or spit when i removed radiator cap...
My usual garage are going to run a pressure test on Benny tomorrow... The leak thing didn't happen when I drove him to the garage & turned the engine off, of course!
I just don't want them to think I'm a neurotic female mini owner...!
Any thoughts on this, please...? All gratefully received!
Mini regards, Rosie.
