It has been done... (Janspeed SD1 Twin-Turbo)
With a turbo because the inlet is pressurised the problems with uneven distribution of fuel is less of a problem than with a N/A setup so a single carb is not too bad.

More like two separate installations, they only share that huge tin T (air filter?). There's that Janspeed kit that features in DV's book, it had a twin choke Dellorto pinched off the Turbo Esprit - if that isn't over carbing, I dunno what.....

Lots more acceleration to be had from twin boosted SU's. No more power though.

Whay would this be? You are goverened by the flow of the turbo, not any carburation; unless you have reached the limits of what you have. The HIF44 has been shown to make well over 200 bananas, so why do you need any more.
Thre is no real worry with the carbs leaking, the SU is quite well sealed. It may be worth putting seals on the spindle if possible though.

Yeah, I couldn't find the photos of it in blow thro form but it was run in both forms. It's the Janspeed Twin-Turbo SD1. I don't know what happened to the car but it was a real monster at the time. The engine sold on eBay a few months ago, in blow thro form again IIRC.That's some setup in James's photo! Looks like a twin turbo, suck through system
