my choke has just decided to swirl round and round instead of locking off
where does the peg go next to the dash or behind the choke knob?

ahh cant beat the old peg for holding the choke out, im tempted to paint mine silver to match the car :P

and in reply to placement, on the end of your nose until it warms up enough to idle smoothly (your nose that is, not the engine)

you need 2 pegs, one to hold the choke all the way out, then one for your nose so you cant smell the extra fuel its burning :D

I have just noticed that you can now buy a complete new choke cable that eliminates this old Mini accessory. i have found also that by turning the choke knob when pulled out on some older models, that the factory fitted lock actually works, Might be worth a try!

Failing that, use a peg or two like everyone else :D

Pegs? try Asda :proud:

or if you mean a new choke cable, try any motor factor or a mini spares specialist or even ebay http://www.ebay.co.u...-All-Categories Iknow they seem expensive but your mini deserves a treat!

Just make sure that you need a twist to lock and not the later type, although they can easily be retrofitted either way.

Oh, they are a " " to fit >_<
