Hey
I tried looking around for anything about windows but couldn't find anything so I started a new topic...

I've got a '95 Rover Mini Limited Edition Sidewalk...my nearside and offside windows don't roll down all the way. I don't know if there's a simple solution to this or if it's supposed to be like this? Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they fixed it. Any information will be helpful. I'm new to the Mini scene so I want to try and sort the simple things out on it myself.

Thanks to anyone who can help =)
Suz

if the screws for the door handles are too long then the screw will stop the window going down, unscrew the door handle and try wind it down see if it works, if not unscrew something else on the door card until you find the right one, that should sort it out, then just use washers on the screws or get shorter ones

check the scissor mechanisms in the doors have they come adrift or need greasing? or do you have speakers in the door cards fouling the windows? as above check the windows are free to travel the full distance if so check the mechanism

I have this problem and when i checked the strip that the metal is attached to was severly rusted so I suspect this is the cause.
Mine is a 1997 mini so yours is probably also affected.
