The elec ignition module requires 12v source. Dont touch the coil wiring!
If you have ballast setup (can be found out by looking at coil, you will have a white/pink and white/yellow) then you need to take a 12v source to power the module. This can be done by taking a feed from the top (4 fusebox, std lucas type) fuse, on the left hand side as you look at it.
Connect the black wire from the module to the old points wire or direct to coil negative.

just connect the red (positive) wire on the electronic ignition module direct to the fusebox for a 12v (switched live, aka on with ignition key which is fuse 1)

Just wire the + wire(red) to a switched live.

Now its a land rover site, those of you who "know" these kits fit both mini and land rover. They come with basic instructions which dont relate to any vehicle in particular. Its basically remove points and condensor, fit electronic module in place, magnetic pickup/rotor arm and wire up.
worked out at £16.63 for me eariler this week.
