Hello everyone,

As a few of you already know, I live in Leeds, west yorkshire. I just wanted to ask if anyone can recommend a really good body shop or something else. that's local to me and that can prep and do a complete respray on my mini mayfair for me in dark red with a white roof? (1984) She's in pretty good condition but I want her colour changing if possible.

When i say complete, i'm not planning on removing the engine though so minus the engine bay been painted i guess lol

Try Princess Garage in Headingley. Very Mini friendly - Pat races in the Super Mighty Minis series.

Thanks for your comments pal, I think she's lovely too but I'm just not keen on the Clove Brown colour at all hence why I would like to change her colour to a nice wine red with a white roof, I think Damask red is a really nice colour if I was to choose one.

I have not been driving her about as Its been of the road since I bought her, just been buying all the bits and stocking them up for when I transform her into how I would like her to look. And I did not even know that Leeds had a Mini club... :-) I guess I would come along yes... but only when its done lol I'm in LS14 too.

Where abouts are you in leeds, you could call in at steve monies on white hall road and speak to the painter there (can't remember his name) steve used to paint but he just sells paint now but it's his lad that paints now, and i know of another guy in pudsey but it's a case of him fitting it in.

Would second Princess Garage. They don't do paint but send work to a couple of local specialists. I've used for mechanical work and they are spot on. I've also seen paint they have supervised and it was v. good. Talk to them.
