Well 3/4 months my partner Paul bought a mini ! (only took me 6 months to persuade him!)

So here's some photos:

Ok, so long time no update. We haven't been sitting round drinking lots of tea honnest !

So after moving the mini from storage to the Adders for the work to commence.

First Sid took the wings off the mini:

then the work started on the front end, a panels and sills:















repairing the inner wings rather than replacing - made sense to keep as much origional as possible

- nice crack

- might need some work here ...



cleaned for repair

outer sill made good

door step preped





- step in place, flitch cut out

- prep



- lined up

- welded in place

ugh now the passenger side



- sill underneath is surprisingly good

Roof Repair

this was the part of the restoration we were dreading the most so here goes...

I'm not a gambling man, but I'd put money on there being a hole there

- a good 2-2.5 hours welding nice and slow

and back to the passenger side

Nice job with the roof I have found a tiny hole in mine and was worried if I had anything like that I would crap myself. Well done!

we did initially, we have a chum that works with aeroplanes and we were going to get him to make us some patches but we decided to be brave - how bigs your hole in the rood Tomlad?

My roof had a hole in exactly the same place!

that's a good repair :) we decided to remove the pillar to extend the life of the mini
