so you ask if they are any good and look forwards to everyone's view, but we can't say we don't like them, then get impatient that no one replies after 18 minutes at this time of night!!

THEY'RE PRETTY MUCH PANTS!!

I havnt got impatient, this site is still very lively till about 1 in the morning...
and no, im saying i dont want to hear how you dont like swan necks.
im asking about the make.
and no there not pants because i can still have a centre dial which i do, i dont have mod my bulkhead which i havent tell me whats bad about that? it hasnt made my performance any worse, its actually made my power band a little bit more spread out now.

thanks for your input...

No idea about the manifold, sorry. I can tell you however, that your washer fluid bottle came from a '86 Picadilly.

Like it or not, they're crap. Look at the sharp corners the air has to navigate before reaching the head. Better to stick with a HIF44 if you are going to use such a daft manifold, but you've been told that already and obviously didn't like the replies.

wow really??!!

ok ill start again, i dont care and i dont want to know your opinion of swan neck manifolds, im not asking that, nor have i ever asked that, im asking about the make not the style of manifold!
i am not stupid and im not going to be made out to be one,

if i was building a miglia mini then obviously i would get the longest manifold i could with a battery box in the bulkhead.

but guess what...

im not building a miglia mini.
so can we please save the immature comments of telling me im not listening to anyone or i didnt like the comment i had back please!
i know a lot of people who would love a swan neck with a weber on the end. so please keep your comments to your selves, i guess i cant ask about the make then.
ill close the topic

Sorry if you have been offended by the replies but you asked if they were any good. The concensus is that no, they aren't. It may well be that it suits your needs perfectly, which is fine, but it does seem unfortunate that you have fitted an excellent carb and then failed to take advantage of its full potential.

i personally, performance issues aside, think its great. i mean, who really wants to cut their bulkhead out.. centre binnacles are the best, and if your driving a mk1 or 2 or any car with a centre binnacle then its nice to be able to keep your car looking standard.

on a serious note, that thing has more curves than my girlfriend

OK, there are always going to be some "swan necks are really restrictive" replies to a thread like this, they could be a little less immature than the list of pros....hey ho, but here's my two-cents worth:

I bought one like yours, the quality of the Lynx manifolds is no worse than a lot of other cast manifolds out there. It's not brilliant either. I never actually got around to running mine on the Lynx one though, I bit the bullet and went for the 5" Minispares one.

In terms of manufacturing quality, I actually preferred the Lynx one. I sold mine after keeping it in the garage for a while.

IF I was going to run an A-Series again I would probably go for injection, I would possibly consider a swan-neck and a Jenvey TB, especially if I didn't want to butcher another shell!

sorry if im offended?! no im not offended, i have more to me than to be offended by something as trivial as this conversation.

i have not asked once about the swan neck style and if there any good, im asking about the MAKE OF THE MANIFOLD for the millionth time!

yepe totally agree, it was uncalled for and not what i asked about at all, i know what people 'know' or 'think they know' about them...

your reply is amongst the little amount of people who have actually read the topic. thankyou good sir!
im in love with the sound of it :P
and to be honest to what people 'know' about them, mine has actually improved the range of the power and it feels nicer than the HIF44 in my opinion, im stilling running my engine in and yet to get it tuned again since the re-build. so god knows what its going to come out with, before it was 75ish bhp, if its more they can go eat there hands :)
