so you ask if they are any good and look forwards to everyone's view, but we can't say we don't like them, then get impatient that no one replies after 18 minutes at this time of night!!
THEY'RE PRETTY MUCH PANTS!!

Like it or not, they're crap. Look at the sharp corners the air has to navigate before reaching the head. Better to stick with a HIF44 if you are going to use such a daft manifold, but you've been told that already and obviously didn't like the replies.

Sorry if you have been offended by the replies but you asked if they were any good. The concensus is that no, they aren't. It may well be that it suits your needs perfectly, which is fine, but it does seem unfortunate that you have fitted an excellent carb and then failed to take advantage of its full potential.

i personally, performance issues aside, think its great. i mean, who really wants to cut their bulkhead out.. centre binnacles are the best, and if your driving a mk1 or 2 or any car with a centre binnacle then its nice to be able to keep your car looking standard.
on a serious note, that thing has more curves than my girlfriend

OK, there are always going to be some "swan necks are really restrictive" replies to a thread like this, they could be a little less immature than the list of pros....hey ho, but here's my two-cents worth:
I bought one like yours, the quality of the Lynx manifolds is no worse than a lot of other cast manifolds out there. It's not brilliant either. I never actually got around to running mine on the Lynx one though, I bit the bullet and went for the 5" Minispares one.
In terms of manufacturing quality, I actually preferred the Lynx one. I sold mine after keeping it in the garage for a while.
IF I was going to run an A-Series again I would probably go for injection, I would possibly consider a swan-neck and a Jenvey TB, especially if I didn't want to butcher another shell!
