After a good 3 years signing on and off being unemployed and doing general odd jobs, I'd finally found full time permanent employment.
For the last month or so I'd been working at a local alloy wheel referbishers, fitting tyres, blasting, preping and powder coating.

Only as of last Wednesday, thanks to a rather stubborn wheel nut. I've gone and pulled the muscles and ligaments in my lower back, I also stupidly tryied to carry on. But finding just trying stand was painful enough, trying to bend or lift anything just wasn't going to happen.

So i'm now off work unpaid for as long as takes for my back to heal itself. Only i'm bored as hell not being able to do anything. I can just about stand and walk without the random back spasms being too painful, just bloody annoying. But anything more is still asking too much.

I'd rather be back at work getting paid, as the longer i'm off the more I have doubts about still having one to go back to. Witch would also open another huge can of worms.

Worst of all though, even as it's my daily, I can't drive the mini :-(

Being off sick is pants! But you only get one back, and it's kind of attached to everything! Get as much rest as possible. Hope it heals quickly. Daytime tv won't help, hope you have an xbox!

Different things work for different people, but I agree on trying things until you find what works for you
