Hi there guys,
Just wondering, the later Mini's, the ones with MPi engines specifically, do they have A+ engines?
Thanks!
Ben

Thanks Simon! What are the key differences between the two if any?

MPi was the very latest incarnation, and are very different. Alternator mounted to head, Coil pack rather than a distributor, and Oil filter mount directly to the block are a few of the changes just looking at the blocks. All MPI utilised the front mounted Rad, and smaller water pump casting. They are significantly different.

The Mpi is just one version of the A+, the Maestro and Motego also used a 1300 A+ engine but again this was in a different configuration to the 'traditional' one found in the mini.
