My flasher unit has just died again- thired one on this car in a very short space of time, i know the halfords ones are rubbish but mine have come from mini parts places.

I took the cover off and the cheap metal has snapped inside the same as all the others they are just cheap and nasty. I could solder it bit im sure it will just break somwhere else >_<

My question is where can i get a good one that will last? Is the one you can use off a different car? Modern car?

What do you use? :proud:

Yes that one will work. You wire it the the same way as the old flasher unit, then just need to add an earth to the third terminal. A very quick, easy and worthwhile upgrade.

Thank you. I take it you cant use it for both the indicators and hazards? I have two wires on each of my separate flasher units ?

Yes it could replace both; it's how it's done on later Minis, with a relay to make the indicators ignition dependent.
