Hi,

I want to do the conversion to the centre style speedo binacle but is it possible to set the mileage on the odometer, or should I just wait to find a used dial thats around the same mileage.

Its currently on 67,000 ish.

Okay. Thanks is there a guide to do this?

I'd rather have it at the exact mileage so when i come to sell it i dont have to explain to the new buyer how many extra miles ect. and for peace of mind.

Bump. any guides out there? If not would anyone want a guide if so when i come to do it, i will make one.

I don't know of any guide, but if you take the back off you will see the tumblers and you just slide the roll-on drive out of the way and rotate the tumblers until you get the reading you want (the mileage is genuine, guv, I can vouch for it ). Then just re-assemble it. Use to be a 15 minute job once the speedo was on the bench back in 'the day'.

Yes, Grandads do know lots of things - ask my Grandson and he'll confirm that!

Its not difficult really. its just matching the colours I did electronics and resistant materials as a GCSE so i should be okay. I'll make one if there isnt already but its fairly simple.

If you watch the Wheeler Dealers episode, Think its a mini city? He does it, its fairly simple.
