Hi guys are there any other measures you can go to, to ensure that you have a good seal that won't leak? Cause the last time I did it it leaked basically. Is there anything extra you can put on.

couple of tricks - there is a tool to protect the delicate inner lip of the seal or you can tape over the crank splines to help slide the seal over in one piece bit of lube helps. Make sure the seal is seated square in the transmission case and don't use any thing sharp to seat the seal

Yes, I agree totally. There are tools available, e.g. from Somerford in the link below, which will help to do the job properly. Ok, nearly £30, but think of the aggro of having to take it apart again, and they may seem quite cheap.
I use Castrol LM grease on the lip, because it will stay in place until the engine is running, and throwing oil around, so it will not run dry at first, and be abraded.
You may need to polish the running surface on the primary gear.
