Heater Matrix Foam Replacement

Hi just a quickie.. anyone replaced the foam surrounding the heater matrix or the foam on the direction flap in the heater box? The replacement matrix I'm buying doesn't come with it and the stuff on the old one has disintegrated into a soggy mess.

Doing a search someone mentioned draught excluder but isn't this really narrow?

same guy i mentioned before
demisterman on Ebay sells the replacement foam strip for a couple of quid

I just used some of this, its used on windows to stop wind etc. you can get the same stuff but it is hollow as well. All i did was put a few strips around where it seals and seems to be working just fine.
