I just bought a Mini. New to the Mini scene. Currently stripping car for a full re-spray.
Anyways, wondered if painting the interior, engine bay and trunk Gloss Black and the body some other color, frowned upon?
Reason why I want to paint the interior black, is so if (or when) I decide to change color, I'd just need to paint the exterior. Which would make things a whole lot easier.
Current color is white, planning on painting it a shade of blue, to be decided. Roof/arch's would be gloss black. I also have a center bin speedo (exposed dash?).

Can't see why it would be frowned upon, although I quite like to have the inside the same colour. Although it would be a pretty boring place if we all like the same thing. If you like the idea of it, go for it

Don't worry about people frowning on what you do, it's your car enjoy it!

Mind posting pics? Mines gona be close to Tahiti blue, just with more depth (don't know how to phrase it, wetlook maybe?)
Just don't want be "that" guy. Like how most other cars can't have hood stripes or even a black/white roof without looking ricey. Just thought there might be some unspoken rule

Edit: I do like my car to be all one same color, it's just that, I'm 70% sure that I'll be changing the color after a few years.

I think it will look like you have just resprayed the exterior and didn't bother to paint the interior.

That's one of the things that bothers me. Time to do a coin toss. Still got a few weeks to decide.
Sidenote: how do you guys rustproof the inner parts that won't get painted, after cutting and welding the rusted parts?
