The Cooper and Cooper Sport are different models, the wheels and arches being the main difference.

It wasn't a model, but I think 90% of minis that were available with the sportspack had them. I'm pretty sure the very last minis could only have it.

Cooper Sport has three dials (clock, oil temperature and battery voltage) and the Cooper has one dial (clock).

I have wide arches colour coded. A walnut dash with 3 small dials in the centre. It was originally a 1.3 mpi from 1999 but engine swapped.
Cooper Sport.
There is another 1.3 mpi round the corner with small black arches and not everything colour coded. So I think it is. I can post pics if anyone can tell me if they have a look.
Cooper.

It is the 13" wheels and bulbous arches. The mpi coopers were available with or without but most people opted to have them. 40LEs like mine all had them, except for export models. I think the seven mpi came without only.

The sportpack option was made up of 13" wheels with 175/50 tyres, body colour arches, a chrome exhaust tailpipe, Koni shocks, two extra fog lamps and two extra gauges, (oil temp. and voltmeter).Sportspack is just bodywork isn't it?
