Gonna use grille buttons for the mk1 grille but then gotta attach the moustache somehow...

What would people recommend?

thinking of just screwing it to the body using these

http://www.minispare...|Back to search

but off eBay for cheaper ;) http://www.ebay.co.u...c1#ht_500wt_922

Sound alright??

Also, on the minispares link what are the metal plate bits called that the screws go into? Would i need them for attaching the moustache??

Many thanks
Conor

Screws work fine, I used to have mine fitted with screws.

Then I bought a rivnut gun - This is the best option. I now have everything on my car fitted with them, so now have nothing held on with screws. So no chewed up unpainted holes that can rust etc.

If you drill or screw the moustache on, watch out for any wires/cables tucked in behind the front panel.

what size bungle?? wouldnt the rivets get in the way of the moustache to the body... making it stick out? or was it all ok?

The original was rivetted from the factory. IIRC Minispares sell both the rivets and the brackets
