Any companies do this? Mum says she may be able to make one but if theres a company already king it that would make life easier. Had a good search but most just do standard vinyl. Im an awkward bugger and want something different

Much cheapness (within reason) is also a good thing! So any suggestions on previous experience or companies that do it? Finish would be in black

Good morning,

As pointed out by YoungUn above we certainly do offer both Alcantara® and suede faux headlining kits.

First of all, if you purchase products covered in Alcantara® from us we will use the official material, purchased direct from one of only a handful of UK authorised Alcantara® distributors.

It is a very expensive material and we are aware that a number of companies are currently claiming to sell ‘Alcantara®’ using a fake material, at much cheaper prices.

So, please bear in mind that if you receive a much cheaper quote from elsewhere, I can guarantee you that it is not a genuine Alcantara® material. We can also offer products in fake Alcantara® (suede faux) so please find prices for both are below:

Alcantara®: £254.99 (+P&P)
Suede faux: £59.99 (+P&P)

And if you would like matching sun visor covers it's an additional £25.

Thanks

What sort of quality difference is there Andy? I can't imagine it gets an awful lot of wear unlike the seats so durability isn't so much of an issue.

Yeah certainly will - and will match your seats & door cards perfectly as well.

What sort of quality difference is there Andy? I can't imagine it gets an awful lot of wear unlike the seats so durability isn't so much of an issue.

It's a similar sort of quality difference as between vinyl leatherette and leather.

With materials you do get what you pay for - but, having said that, there is nothing wrong with quality suede faux - Alcantara® is just better (just as leather is better than vinyl leatherette).

I'd imagine it comes down to what budget you are working with and if you can afford Alcantara® go for it.

Wonder if Andy does black velvet now ther is an idea

We certainly could - if your going for the Austin Powers interior...

Hey Andy, can you tell me what Alcantara smells like?

Only leather really has a smell - all other materials just smell of car interior.

Thanks
