hi, went to fit this engine steady to my car and all the bolt holes line up fine but the bar going across the middle of it hits the very top if my engine breather and stops me from being able to fit it. has anyone had the same problem, if so what did you do? can the breather be moved slightly or can i get a smaller breather?
thanx

There aren't two posts the same. If you read them, one is asking where the engine steady fits, the other is this one with the problem about the breather getting in the way.
I had the same problem with mine, it was *just* in the way and I managed to 'persude' the breather out the way enough to fit the steady. So yea, just bend it a bit!

i had a hell of a job fitting mine , years ago we used to remove the breather assembly , cut an inch out of it & weld it back up !
this made it shorter , but it can be fitted , just & ajusted to suit....
i really needed one on mine as it's an auto & tends to jump when selecting gears....
biggest job is the bolts on the bulk head as you need a trusty assistant to hold the spanner !
finnally make sure all the 4 bushes & washers are fitted or you will hear the tapping of the valve gear really bad & will also eventuall get thing cracking under the stress.....

as miniboo states, are you using the right engine steady? that one is for a 998!
if you are using the right one then just bend the breather back a bit!
