Fibreglass Speaker Shelfs (Parcel Shelf)

Just wanted to take a moment to let you know about our speaker shelfs.
They are produced
- to improve sound / experience by directing the speakers into the cabin area and towards the front.
- to be uninvasive (ie. they dont get in your way, dont stop access etc)
- to allow users to fit speakers (we usually fit 6x9s, but you could fit smaller speakers) without the need for major interior mods (modified dashboards, speaker pods etc)
Fitting speakers to the rear shelf is common. It is generally frowned upon because the sound is coming from behind you, however it is common in Classic Minis for speakers to be fitted here. Fitting speakers flat in the shelf means alot of cutting into the shell structure and also means the speakers point upwards towards the rear screen.
Our shelf improves this by directing the speakers towards the front of the car. Due to the raised position, you may not need to cut into the shelf at all. (*Please note this is totally dependent on the speakers you fit, depth of magnet etc....some speakers may require a cut out to allow the magnet to clear)
Whilst directing towards the front of the car, the profile means they are low enough to allow full vision out of the rear, so does not effect rear vision etc.
The shelfs come in fibreglass, gel coated and will require speaker holes cutting to suit your speakers. They may also require a little trimming around the edges as we all know minis vary in shape and sizes, even more so if its been welded with aftermarket panels. We recormend trial fitting and trimming before painting/covering in material to get the best finish product.
They can be painted or covered (ive done mine in speaker cloth as per below).

Group buy discounts always an option.
To order, just drop me a PM and I will send you paypal payment details. I am working on a site to allow products to be ordered online once we have the range of products developed (such as door cards with built in speaker pods and door pocket)
