I have a quick question I need to change my thermostat. Now the car is a 1990 998 so I ordered a new stat and just encase a fitting kit but when I just had a look at my housing it is held on with bolts not studs but does not have a sandwich plate. Anyone know what type length bolts these are so i can order some from Minispares.
Thanks

You can just fit studs if you want, mind you there's nothing that wrong with having bolts, the Metro A-Series used them I believe.

I would like to fit the bolts hopefully can reuse the ones in there but just encase I wanted to pick some up. I know the studs were 5/16" unc so assume the bolts are the same but not sure of the length.
Thanks

DAM7760 - Bolt 5/16unc x 2 1/2" for all stats with sandwich plates.
CHS2515 - Stud 5/16 unc/unf x 1 7/8" no sarnie plate.
I'd say a 1.5" to 1.75" would do http://www.a2stainle...ter_B22SKY.aspx
or DAM7759
