Hi everyone new to this, my mums partner has a 28 year old 25th special edition mini that has only 70miles on the clock these miles being from point of sale when new to being garaged. He is looking to sell it but doesn't know the best place to sell or what it is worth. Can anyone help please?

It's a really hard thing to put a price on as it's not really old enough yet to be worth shed loads but you've still got to take into account the fact it's a virtually new car.

I'd say if it's really mint and was fully MOTed and taxed he might be able to get £8k for it but it's going to be hard thing to find a buyer for. These two Minis (Park Lane Mini Thirty) have been for sale for a long time and in my opinion are overpriced.

It's might be worth getting it running and seeing if he can find a reputable automotive auction house that will sell it in a appropriate setting.

As much as I hate to admit it, ebay is probably best for maximum exposure.

At a guess it should make around £12000. After all it is a 'new' car, although it probably needs new tyres and a new battery plus re-commissioning.

Oh my, I am jealous!

I also own a Mini 25 which I am doing up, I recently saw one which was nearly mint but was a reshell go for 5k but I dont know the mileage, but they are getting more and more desirable and apart from the mini special they are the first of the Birthday editions so a little bit special in their own right.

I think I saw this for sale on Carandclassic? £15000 I'm not sure it's going to sell for that much to be honest. Why was it garaged for all that time?

At the end of the day its a 25 year old mini and not really anything special,to recommission will cost money and reliability wont be as good as a new car.

Am I the only on who thinks there might be the letter "k" missing from the first post?

There is no k missing it is 70 miles, I will try and get some pics to post. It has been garaged all this time because I think he planned it as an investment.
