Hi there I've been on here a while just lurking in the background getting lots of inspiration. I'm 29 recently married live in Essex and by my tittle my name is Darren. I bought my first ever mini in February this year from eBay as a project won't to pick it up in the bad snow got it home and put it away in its new home for a while my garage. I stripped it all out and found it was bad so to fund it I sold my beloved triumph daytona, now that's commitment lol. So far I've replaced the toe board passengers foot well door step scuttle end and flitch and repaired the shock mount and inner wing. I am currently in the process of replacing the passengers rear floor section. I wasn't going to start a thread as if it went bad I would look like a muppet lol.

Annoyingly the engine that came with the car is 1275 auto which I don't want so I bought a "decent" spi lump off good old eBay and after owning it for a while I took the head of to find the bores or one of them has a big ring in it from a failed piston ring so will be looking for help with that soon.

Anyway enought waffle it's only supposed to be a quick hi but I can go on I will be starting thread very soon so look out

Welcome and all the best for the project. Started mine last year and its been hard work but just starting to pay off!
