thinking the mini and my diesel could do with a fuel line/ injector/turbo clean

It's no miracle cure. I've used the Unipart stuff in my Mini before, and it hasn't done any harm. You'd be better off taking the head off and de-coking it properly though. Either that or use V-power for a few weeks. Neither will do wonders though.

I realise this is inappropriate, but I've PM'd you ANON.
Leroy, if I were you, I'd just take the head off, strip it, soak it in petrol, relap the valves, and use quality petrol from then on. It's a bit of work, but it'd make more of a difference than any additive.

It is supposed to work a bit, I suppose you have nothing to lose really. Have used redex on various cars, didn't do much, shell high octane fuel however did give the mini a bit of a boost and the engine sounded smoother than James Bond
. Other than that a quick de-coke would be the way to go and isn't too much of a job. Fifth gear gave fuel additives the once over here , premium fuels here .
