You can do if you want to, i think they come in a black gel coat (if Fibreglass) which you can rub back with some wet and dry and then spray to whichever colour you want. Orr just leave them, but sometimes the gel coat isnt perfect.

I painted mine, as both edges on each arch were wonky

mine look like they have rubbed through in places on them and there new
