I have just started my new insurance with Adrian flux.
Can't fault them at the moment.
Really nice on the phone.

I've been with them on a classic policy for almost a year now with no issues. I would mention though I've not had to use them so that could be why lol. Very happy otherwise, arranging the insurance in the first place was simple and hassle free and at well under £100 they were cheap for very good cover :D

I'll happily use them again in the future :D

I would add, you do tend to read mostly negative things on review sites. Most people write reviews when they have something to complain about, so they can be a bit one sided. For everybody that goes on there complaining when they have a bad experience (which does happen) there are probably dozens who have no hassles but never write a review.

wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, i know quite a few people over the years who've had agreed value insurance, claimed and been offered a pittance of the value!!

i phoned them years ago for a quote, couple of days later a cover note turned up, phoned them and told them i only asked for quote, couple of weeks later the snotty letters started arriving threatening me with court action if didn't pay up!!

They've tried to con me twice (I put the first one down to an honest mistake despite having to get shouty to get my money back so they got another chance a year later). I know people who have had two direct debits set up and trouble getting the money back. I know people who have been paying in installments who have wanted to cancel the policy after 6 months and been told they need to pay the rest of the installments anyway.

From my personal experience - go through your paperwork with a fine tooth comb and make sure you've been sold what you think you've been sold. My first case was one where they didn't give me the cover I'd asked for. If I hadn't spotted it in the docs I could have happily been driving for a year with no problems but if I'd had a crash and needed to claim I'd have been up a famous creek without a paddle. I often wonder when people say that they are using them with no problems if this is the case with them.

The second time I'd been getting cover notes for three months before the policy arrived to find that they had insured me TPFT when I'd asked for comprehensive. They argued the toss and tried to charge me extra until I asked for a copy of the transcript of the original call under the data protection act and threatened the ombudsman. I got a refund of the whole amount but was left at work with no insurance on the car.

I'm 37 with 12 years no claims on separate policy. The classic policy with AF was actually with 0 years no claims but still low due to having 12 years on another policy. Fully Comp, agreed value, courtesy car with all mods declared for £89.50 :D only restriction is I'm limited to 3k miles a year which is ok on the Mini as I think I'm on just over 2k now with a just over a month left to run on the insurance.

Agree 100% It's always worth checking the paperwork especially if it's arranged over the phone. Weekends are apparantly the worst times to arrange insurance as many companies have a lot of trainees and cover staff working then rather than the more experienced weekday staff.

I cant realy fault them.
I have my cooper with them on a classic policy and my vectra b MSD GSI also with flux.
Ive got the breakdown option ticked plus the recovery both here and on the continent, has been used on more than one occasion with the cooper.
The vectra was rear ended last year and was sorted out in no time at all with a like for like hire car so all was good.

Can't fault them either, I went through Flux direct > to a company called Groupama insurance (that's who I'm with) Flux direct were very helpful on the phone and got me a very reasonable quote for a first time driver on a Cooper :proud:
