Hi everyone.

Driving along the other day and my bonnet popped open, I pulled over shut the bonnet and noticed it was not closing as normal. I managed to get it shut enough to carry on my journey home.

After a closer inspection the bonnet catch seems to have become loose and doesn't seem to stay across when the bonnet it closed, Instead it just sitting loose from side to side.

I've been told by mini sport its because the spring has gone. So I have got a new spring (see pic) but cant for the life of me see where about's it actually fits.

Any ideas ?

It fits from the bonnet catch to a hole in the slam panel.

As said ^ there's a little hole in the slam panel (where the bonnet lip sits and top of grill screws on to) that one of the hooks go in to, then the other goes in to a little hole on the catch, easier to do with the grill off.

Yeah much easier with grill off lol, All sorted now. wasent 100% as to which was the spring actually goes but looks ok
