very slight loss in power down low ( but probably not noticable )
but good difference in mid range and high end
and worth using
any other advice from anyone particulary using them

It's also a really good combination for overtaking, can drive along at 50MPH behind a slower car, floor it in fourth and it picks up really well. I've never had it to 5000RPM yet, and lets be honest, how often does a road car go to those RPM. Mid range is infinitely more important in a road car and the cam and rocker combination is really good for that.

Of course, it may be different with a softer cam.

I've just done 500 miles, in a 1330 engine with the MG metro cam and 1.5 rockers (non roller ones). I've started flooring it occasionally and it goes really well, I haven't noticed any real loss in bottom end, it still cruises around town in fourth gear at 25 - 30MPH on a 3.44 diff. The compression is quite high at 10.5:1 so maybe that (and the overbore) helps with bottom end.

Both the MG Metro cam and the MD266 are probably a little low on cam lift when compared with a lot of the other grinds now on the market, in particular where used with a 1275.
