I've wanted a mini since i was 12 and now that i have just passed my test i can hopefully forfill this dream. I can easliy afford the price of the mini but it is the insurance that is the main worry. i have recently just got a quote from Adrian Flux for £2600 TPFT on a 1989 Rover Mini 30 (998cc) and i dont think i can afford this. I just was wondering if anybody knew of a better place to go for insurance.

Hope you guys can help!

hi just been through exactly this. i ended up going with graham sykes on a modified policy. im 17 with one named driver and im paying 1750 with monthly payments with everything declared. however its only TPFT which isnt ideal but at the end of the day im on the road in my mini! id say try herts insurance and graham sykes (mine came out cheaper on a modified policy oddly) on the other hand if your minis not modified try insure2drive .

hope this helps

well good luck. if they come back expensive ask to have it put through as if on a modified policy and just say it has alloys or something. may work out cheaper.

An insurance broker called "Only Young Drivers", I was 19 when I took out the policy with 1 years no claims (and a crash on my record) and they insured me for £71 a month (just over £800 I think) fully comp, and mines a 1.3 engine.
