Not sure if its because ive got a nice new mint condition mini but whenever i drive it hard and have some fun i get a tad paranoid and hope i havnt broken something...... I just love.given it the beans.... Its soooo fun

theres nothing worse for a car than pootling around changing gear at 2k all the time.


they need opening up so the cobwebs are blown out.

I would say not opening them up would be more beneficial for older cars. Metal fatigue means component failure is more likely to occur if you rag it a lot. Younger more modern vehicles benefit greatly from not being ragged though. Audi's can even calculate their own service intervals now and the easier you drive it the longer it can wait.

Don't let that carbon build up! Along as you let it warm up before giving it some there shouldn't be a problem. When people rev the hell out of it on cold is when problems start to happen.
