Hi
i am converting my mk4 mini to look like a mk1 and to make it look more authentic. I thought i would try find an original D cherished plate for it which was a no no after i seen the price. So my thought was, unsure weather its legal or not hence why i ask, could i buy a 68 moped/bike project and then transfer the reg onto my car??
Thanks Josh

You can make a car look older but not newer, weather you can transfer another plate depends if it eligible for trasfer, also the vehicle must have an mot before a plate change.

The donor has to be on the road to put the registration on a retainer.

You could always get one direct from the DVLA in one of their auctions, that's how I got the plate that's on my '93 Sprite.
