Hi
i am converting my mk4 mini to look like a mk1 and to make it look more authentic. I thought i would try find an original D cherished plate for it which was a no no after i seen the price. So my thought was, unsure weather its legal or not hence why i ask, could i buy a 68 moped/bike project and then transfer the reg onto my car??
Thanks Josh

To transfer a number plate I think the vehicle its coming off has to have an MOT but not certain on that

I guess no-one else has ever thought of buying an old Mo-ped just for it's Reg Number....... Aye, right! If the number is transferrable - the Mo-ped will be every bit as expensive.

Not only that, but also both vehicles need to be currently taxed, therefore MOT & Insured, unless the plate is on retention.
