had my renewal claim for my van through the last day there, ITS NEARLY DOUBLED!!!!! almost collapsed when i read it, last year, £706.54, this year £1376!!!

Apparently its because aviva who underwrite my post office insurance wouldnt quote so thats next best. have managed to get £814 from Adrian flux.

has anyone got any ideas for good companys that dont dealwith comparison sites?

I'm 22, van worth about 1400, Personal use, 3points (2 and half years old), at fault claim (2years old).

All ideas appreciated. :)

I make the assumption this is for a transit connect ? if so vans are more expensive to insure than cars, why do you have a van ? if it's because of a trade then look for specific trade insurance which also covers SD&P.

Lol, yeah you would be correct, vans main use is mainly transport, for me, my own tools, sheepdog, and a million and one other things. at the moment inside it resembles a landfill site.

Hi there,

I'm new here :)

I've been knocking about on the forum for a bit and saw this, thought I might be able to help.

My dad is with Aviva and he pays through his nose for it!
My friend is a Landscape gardener and he's with http://www.ivaninsurance.co.uk.

He doesn't have regular work on atm and manages to pay for his insurance, I think they're prettycheap.

Hope this is helpfull :)

Did a bit more searching as renewal day is nearing.. visited the meerkats (do i get a meerkat toy? :) )

Lo and behold cheapest quote, to of the list is £411.34 from Post office! How the hell does that work? their renewal was 1329!
so i click visit site. when there it ofcourse recognised my details, so it asks my policy number, i enter it, then check the details. go to quote page and its jumped tho £924.93!!!!

Angry phonecall coming your way tomorrow mr post office! so much for looking after your loyal customers! i think someones at the dodgys!!
