Can anyone help please by telling me what colours all the wires are to do with hazards and indicators and where they go to and from? The Haynes manual isn't very clear.
The car is a 1991 Mini Neon.

I should add that when you press the hazard switch then the indicators don't work, so I guess that is a normal function since the hazards should kick in? But it just does nothing, not even light up.

The bottom 2 connections (light green/brown) on the hazard switch are for the indicators - so they are turned off when the hazards are on. The other 4 pins should all be connected together then but all isolated when it's off.

Hazard Switch Wiring...
Light green/brown x 2 - 1 from indicator flasher (live with ignition on), the 2nd to the column stalk.
3. Light green/pink - from the hazard flasher (permanent live, but "flashy" of course).
4. Green/white - right indicators
5. Green/red - left indicators
6. Green/light green - the bulb in the hazard switch (via one of the little spades on the side)
Tests...
Check 1 & 3 are live (ignition on), best to remove the flashers and replace them with a bit of wire - they are effected by current flow.
Test continuity between 2 & 4, 2 & 5 when the column stalk is in the corresponding position.
Test the switch continuity, as above, bottom 2 connect (off), all the others connect (on).
