It'll make a difference but it'll need someone who knows more about the ecu side of things and whether or not the ecu can comprehend what's going on. I assume you'll need a larger throttle body that burlen sell to get more air flow to the head. In theory yes it'll be top notch to get more air and fuel in, but you'll never get 130bhp with a 1275 bore reliably, cost effectively, nor with the standard engine management.

there is no point trying to modify a fuel injected mini to that amount as it just wont do it due to the ecu.
you cannot re-map them so anything above 90bhp and it wont cope. if you want that kind of power you need to have one built by a reputable company, but also you cant just put a big engine in, u would need to upgrade suspension, brakes and propbably a whole load of extra parts.

realistically the only way of doing this to your car is to geta supercharger kit from the likes of vmaxscart.
you need the full supercharger kit and the new ecu and rockers all of this can produce 140bhp(ish)
but you are looking at around 4000 for the lot, this way is probably the easiest and most reliable way of getting such power.
take a look at there website http://www.vmaxscart.co.uk/
click on products and supercharger kits, the stuff you want is for an MPI it is near the bottom of the page.
o and all the prices include fitment.

hope this helps.

Of course if you use the Megasquirt system then you've got a mapable injection and ignition system!!

this is true on an spi or tpi/mpi you will need a mapable ecu as standard will only cope with modding fuel to about 90hp only.

im half way through my own supercharger kit, pullies are calculated for psi levels, intake for carb to charger is done.
just doing my charger intake then its on to an engine

im doutfull that ill make an spi/mpi kit tho as realistically you do need a mapable ecu! unless you settle for less power !

(A stage 4 head would cause fueling issues too! as its a high flow design try a stg 3 with a 276 piper cam ! k&n direct replacement conical filter and rolling road to re-set fueling! far cheaper and will push 80/90ish break and will be very pleasurable! )

for 130 bhp alot of drive train mods are going to be needed too ! :dontgetit:

If its a mini cooper S surely it will already have about 90bhp :dontgetit:

I would think that the car would definately be worth more as standar especially if its one of the last 500

Standard SPI Cooper is 63bhp, Cooper Garages SPI 'S' pack gives 87bhp

Standard MPI and MPI Cooper are 63bhp Cooer Garages S pack 1997 gives 85bhp and 1999 gives 90bhp

All this on standard ECU's
