Just in From Australia a nice Morris MK1 Cooper S. The car is a June '68 model though is classed in Australia as a MK1 build. the shell has been stored stripped out for over 25 years. Of course in the UK this would be classed as a mk2!! and yes it has mk2 lights etc etc. Still a nice rare solid car that is an easy project. Originally white with a black roof, the car has a factory fitted webasto rag top roof.
The car is very solid indeed though will need both front floor halfs, outer sills and battery tray doing. I have carried out much research in to this car to ensure all is correct with it. I have many links to informative sites in Australia that show the true provenance of this car. The car does not have its original engine which is a real shame. It does come with a mk3 Cooper s engine though.
The car comes with the following parts;
- All glass
- All hanging panels in rust free condition
- cab doors are the Australian type wind up windows with opening 1/4 lights, all edged in stainless steel
- rear stainless steel pop out windows both sides
- set of wheels
- front and rear subframes fitted
- discs (not fitted though present, to move the car drums and wheels were fitted on the front though the correct drums are on the rears.
- Genuine cooper S twin tanks installed
- genuine Oz bucket seats and rear seat
- Genuine S morris bades front and rear
- 120mph speedo fitted
- Genuine spats (wheel arch extensions)
- Steering rack
- servo and master cylinder
- front grill
