I'm after a blue carpet set for a Mini Clubman Estate, however am struggling to find a full set.

I have looked at a few options but many unsuitable and have heard about poor fitting expensive sets! My main problem is that many only list sets for years 73 onwards, whereas mine is a 72 - though I'm not entirely sure about the difference between these? Also I'm after a matching carpet to fit the boot/rear load bay rather than having the plastic Hundura material.

Any useful suggestions or help really appreciated!

The difference is the hole for rod and remote change, rod being the '73 on. Newton commercial have the original tooling and are the best quality you'll find. I regret not spending the extra as the other carpets fit nowhere near as well.

This the rear carpet you're after? http://www.newtoncom...29-products-29/

When I come to do mine I'm just going to buy some carpet from a local store and cut it to size my self.

From speaking to a few other estate owners... Newton don't actually fit as well as they claim!

Looking into Coverdale Carpets and Ruskin Designs if anyones had any experience with either company?

Good idea that. Could even take it back to have the edged bound once cut to size.

That's the plan. ;-)

Actually, I like the idea myself so much I think I'm going to do that instead of shelling out for a newton carpet.

Am considering going with Coverdale for a set of Austin Estate carpet and then purchasing a bit off the roll from them (as its a rather useful option they offer!!) and have it cut to shape from a template made for the loadbay and the edges done as mentioned. But where would I be best getting this done?

Also turns out it doesnt matter about the years as I didn't realise we had replaced the 72 tunnel with a later tunnel due to needing more room for the engine conversion/gearbox. Doh!
