Davey, the hubs have to be drilled out to 10.5mm. But it wouldnt be to hard to put a helecoil back in afterwards if you wanted to.

Hubs need to be drilled and discs milled to 7.9 to run 10" wheels also custom hoses.

more confused now

the hubs i have have a marking of "BTA 188 RH" and "BTA 187 LH" which i presume is left and right hand?
the left hand one also has a marking which looks like "L EE 8 16.G.90
any ideas?

i dont have experience with fiesta callipers but i think what they are saying is that the brake calliper mounting stud pattern on the standard mini hub and the stud pattern on the fiesta callipers are the same. but the sizes of bolt used to hold the calliper to the hub are bigger on the fiesta, therefore the holes are widened and thread re tapped so that the callipers can be bolted to the hub.

when they were talking about machining down the disks they were referring to the fact that the two standard disk sizes produced for minis were 7.5 and 8.4 meaning that you would have to put the 8.4 disk in a lathe and machine the height down to 7.9. alternatively companies like mini spares and mini sport sell 7.9 disks for there custom callipers which may fit.

as i said i dont have experience in these callipers so if anyone could confirm or contradict what ive said.

You'll be needing metro vented disc drive flanges to fit these correctly also.

Minispares offer a version of these:

The point of the fiesta conversion was an at the time, cheap route to being able to run 10" wheels, the upshot being the brakes were pretty good.
Metro 4 pots, to my understanding won't fit under 10" wheels.
