Two weeks ago I bought my first mini, it's a 1992 Rover mini city and I noticed water in the drivers foot well but soon found the hole which was causing this and got it all welded up.
But a few days later I noticed the dashboard shelf was wet through but I could not find where the water had come from. I dried it all out and so far the water hasn't come back but does anyone have any suggestions as to where the water came from?
Water On Dashboard?

I have the same problem with my Mini, and I found out it was the windscreenrubber that could not keep the water out. It comes from the lower corners on the screen. In my case it is between the rubberseal and the glass (as opposed to between the body and rubberseal). I understand it is not an uncommon problem. Hope this can help you.

I'd go with either screen rubbers as mentioned above. Or possibly rust / hole, around the fresh air vents that's letting water in under the wing.

Thanks I was thinking possibly the windscreen seal because it has cracked slightly and I will check behind the air vents and hopefully get it sorted. Thanks for your help!
