hi all i was wondering if i could have help with a problem i'm having

i start up the mini and after 10 seconds she cuts out and won't start again i have to hit the dash pot of the carb with a hammer very lightly and then she seems to start but wont run with the choke off. There is plenty of fuel in the float chamber however if i remove the spark plugs they are dry its like there is no fuel getting through

i have: Striped the carb and cleaned and re-built which for 4 days or so did the trick and i had no problems. i added oil to the carb after re-building it

i haven't got a clue what the problem could be have been told it could be a bent needle but i'm not too sure

any help would be appreciated cheers

Could be, like you said bent needle, jet sticking (try the choke linkage and spring).
Try removing the dashpot and check the spring and chamber. Top up dashpot with oil.
These are the places I would try first, check the butterfly is free moving and adjust the idle spring if needed.

Sounds like a jet blockage.Remove dashpot, spring and piston, with one of those little tubes you get with WD40 try to suck through the jet, and see if petrol comes out.
