I've had the same experience; good prices and most things have free or reasonable postage. I usually receive the purchase either the next day or the day after that aswell which is great.

Mike owner of W&P is a life long Mini enthusiast and attends most of the major Mini Shows as a trader, have known him since the 1970's when he first started out racing Mini7 and Miglias.

I normally buy from him at shows as his prices are a little cheaper. But I have bought from them on the eBay site, I've been impressed so far

I have had only one dealing with them and postage time was rubbish, paid for 1st class delivery and they wernt posted until two weeks later. Not a good impression for a first time buyer.

I have to say my experience with Wood and Pickett at Leatherhead has always been good. They are local to me so I've used them for parts as they are competitively priced on most stuff and have always been helpful.

There are not many good Mini specialists about so use them or we'll lose them and just be left with the likes of Halfords to buy parts from if you want stuff over the counter - and no-one wants that!!

I recently bought an MPi Mini from Wood and Pickett (a 2000 model Mini Se7en) - The price was good (considering I was buying from a garage) and when it developed a gearbox fault I took it back.

I was half expecting to have a battle with them and to be told "subsection 14 (b) of the warranty in tiny letters on page 96 of our terms and conditions exculdes that fault" or some other car dealer type trying to get out of any liability conversation, but the opposite was true.

They just said bring it back and they removed the engine and box and stripped the gearbox to replace a faulty selecter fork and a few other bits and then I got the car back - no aggro, no cost, no form filling or endless correspondence with warranty companies - they just got on and fixed it. I couldn't have asked for better service and will definately carry on using them and would recommed them. :gimme:

My impression was excellent, as they let 12 mad TMFers strip off on their forecourt! ;D

thanks for this thread, was gonna ask the question if they are a good place to buy stuff as they are local to me too and prices seem reasonable. As I want some wood and picket arches anyway and other stuff seems logical to buy direct!

Gonna call in there and buy me some bits :-)

I would advise ringing up and checking they have what you want first.

Its not much of a shop to look around!
