today my amp packed up on way home from work, not very happy as its meant to go back in the mini soon, its got power, the power light is on, the protection light is off,but the blue neon that lights up when it is on is not on, both fuses are fine.
its a BBG ryval series 4 ch.

Does anyone know any common faults with these? Gotta get it looked at!

my mate had a similar problem, although a different amp, its was down to a dodgy earth, so first thing is check all of the connections.
check the rca leads from the head unit that they havent come loose.
can u try it on someone elses stereo???

u said that the power light is on, but a blue neon that lights up when its on isnt, do you mean it has 2 power lights????

all connections are fine, the blue neon thing is just for show, lights up the nice logo on front that all.

well somethings gone pop inside then, without having it tested properly you just wont know to be honest.

the only thing i can suggest is to check if the neon has actually blown with a multimeter by doing a continuity test, if so you could find the circuit protection will have shut the amp off.

going to go to huets tomoz to get it tested, hopefully its repairable.
